We have arrived.

Saying the goodbyes was the hardest part. I think it was a lot harder than we thought it was going to be, well actually harder then Dan thought it was going to be, i knew it would be heart wrenching. We went down south for Thanksgiving, and were able to stay 3 days with each family, both mine and Dan's, before we left. It was really a perfect end to our time in Utah. Once we got the goodbyes over with, it was time to embrace our adventure, no looking back!

The drive was beautiful. But it would have been a lot more beautiful it i hadn't been sharing it with my two lovely children lol. We drove for 3 1/2 days straight, as soon as we woke up till dark, with one 20 minute stop a day for lunch and bathroom breaks. Doing 10-11 hours a day, and driving an average of 650 miles a day we made it. The kids were actually really good considering. All i can say is the investment in double DVD players for our truck was in every way worth it! It was really sweet seeing the landscapes change as we moved state to state, it was a fun thing to see once (but only once! haha).

The last time at my home. (Literally. They sold it right after we left.) Me and my studly little brother!
Completely cleaning and packing our house was the worst. It always is. Taya didn't have a bed for a nap so she made one herself with what was left in the house.
The trees are so pretty here. There is no dirt on the ground, only natural grass. Very green.

We are so excited to have our own fenced yard! Taya likes to play on the balcony railing.
After a hard day of unpacking, we found Tay asleep in a pile of boxes, in a little bed she made.
So far, we love it. It is so warm, we are walking around in short sleeves and shorts and people look at us from under their winter coats like we are half crazy haha. Apparently 75 degrees is freezing here. I love the southern accent. Im told that it wont be long before i pick it up, which should be fun. I talked to a couple of people in church that i swore had to have been raised southern from their accents, only to find out that they'd only been here a year or less! People are very nice. Im sure you've heard of southern hospitality? It is alive and well here in South Carolina. I've met some of the other wives who's husbands will be in the anesthesia program with Dan, so i'm happy that i will have other school-widow wives to hang out with. We've had a good beginning to this adventure, and i'm excited to see what else SC has in store for us!
