a week of firsts.

My little Brennan is one!! I cant believe how fast this year has gone, and what a cute, lovable, silly little boy he has become. He makes our life so much fun, and he always keeps us laughing. (He and Tay together are quite the dynamic duo ;) ). We love him sooooo much and are so glad he came to join us!

We ended up on a camping trip the weekend of his birthday, so i decided to have a little party then when we'd be with Dan's family. I originally wanted to have a big shin-dig for friends and everyone, but it was fun and good to celebrate our little stud man with family in the great outdoors! :)

They mostly survived the truck ride. Well, its the thought right?!


At one year old:

He sleeps through the night, between 10-12 hours every night.

He loves his blankie. It is light green and minky and satiny, and it has to be with him at almost all times. He'll crawl and drag it to me talking jibberish until i wrap him up, then he just grins.

He still refuses to walk. He can, he just prefers to crawl because it is faster. And i'm okay with that.

He loves his sister! He follows her everywhere, and always wants to be playing with whatever she is playing with. (Taya has started calling him her little bother instead of little brother....but she still plays so cute with him)

He loves to TEASE his sister! I have to keep myself from laughing.

He loves baths. He tries to climb in the tub all the time, and i usually have to let him just play and splash in the tub once or twice a day.

He is really into toys, he loves to play!

He laughs so easily, he is always smiling and laughing over something. He is so good natured!

He is mischievous. I kind of thought for a while that he was going to be a chill kid and miss out on having Taya's craziness....but he is completely full of energy and likes to tease all of us. He is so busy and always moving a mile a minute. Maybe even more than Taya did (and thats saying something!)

He has a sweet tooth, as much as i tried to keep him from it.

He says "Uh Oh!!" for everything. He throws food off his high chair just so he can say it. If he is hungry, he'll sit at the fridge or pantry and try to open the doors while yelling "uh oh!" until i do something about it.

He is really smart, he always surprises us!

He loves all of us so much. He especially loves when we are all together.

He LOVES to snuggle.

He tries to imitate everything we say and do, even little things i am surprised he even notices.

He is so silly! He does the funniest things, a little comedian. He loves for us to laugh at his antics.

And that is Brennan in a nutshell!

It was also Taya's first week of pre school! She absolutely loved it. She has gotten so big! It makes me a little sad to think that from this point i will never have her just at home all day anymore....i'll always have to share her with school. It is like this begins the slow march out of our home! Maybe a little dramatic, but i still cant believe how fast she is growing....and sometimes i wish i could just freeze time and keep her little forever!
